Site Pass: NOTE: Instructions for use with contractor induction stickers There are three ways to use the contractor induction stickers. 3. The label can be customised to include your company name and/or logo.
1. Print out labels without amendments 1.1 Open Microsoft Word. 1.2 Open the document "Contractor induction stickers". 1.3 The date will automatically be inserted to match the date of your computer. 1.4 If you prefer to insert a different date - copy the document to your computer and open it - delete the date highlighted in grey and type in the date you require. Copy and paste the date into each label, or if you prefer amend each label. 1.5 Go to the "File" menu, select "Print", click "OK". 1.6 Hand write the contractors name and company name on the dotted line after "Name" and "Company". 2. Type each contractors name & company on the label template 2.1 Open Microsoft Word. 2.2 Copy the document "Contractor induction stickers" to your computer. 2.3 Open the document from your computer. 2.4 Delete the dotted lines and type in the contractor's name and company. If the information is too long and goes onto a new line, highlight it and reduce the font size. Each label will need to be amended with the appropriate details. 2.5 Go to the "File" menu, select "Print", click "OK". Note: It is recommended that the labels only go through a printer once to avoid jamming and damaging the printer. If you need to print less than a full sheet of labels, we suggest deleting the date and leaving the dotted lines on the unused labels so they can be written on by hand if required. 3.1 Open Microsoft Word. 3.2 Copy the document "Contractor induction stickers" to your computer. 3.3 Open the document from your computer. 3.4 To insert company name: click the mouse above the text line "Site Induction". Type in your company name. 3.5 Highlight the contents of the rest of the labels and press "Delete". Copy the new label and paste into the rest of the labels. Or if you prefer, type onto each label. If your company name is too long and goes onto the next line - highlight it and reduce the font size. 3.6 To insert your company logo: click the mouse above the text line "Site Induction". Go to the "Insert" menu, click Picture> from file...locate your company logo and click "insert". It will probably appear too big in the label, click on the logo once so a border and squares appear around the logo. Using the mouse click and drag on one of the corner squares around the logo and make it smaller so all the information appears on the label including the logo. 3.7 You can still add text after the logo if you want by clicking the mouse after the logo and typing the required text. 3.8 Highlight the contents of the rest of the labels and press "Delete". Copy the new label and paste into the rest of the labels. 3.9 You can customise the labels further for example by adding a contractor number. If you have inserted company details at the top there will not be enough space on the label in the current font size - highlight the contents of one of the labels, reduce the font size. Press the "Return" key after a line of text and type in the required new text. 3.10 Highlight the contents of the rest of the labels and press "Delete". Copy the new label and paste into the rest of the labels. 3.11 When you have made your required amendments, save the new template as a separate file. |
